Adventures in Acrylic Painting
Time: 2:30PM - 4:00 PM Location: 110 E. 11th Ave, Suite C Instructor: Taro Baugnon $120 Join us in this class where we will work on a series of projects with acrylic paint on canvas. We will paint subjects such as illustrated animals, landscapes or cityscapes, and portraits, as well as subjects you choose. For the first projects, we will work from an example painting that I provide, getting familiar with the process, and as we progress you can work more independently. You’ll learn painting techniques like color mixing, color temperature, painting in layers, creating textures, and composing with shapes. We will practice the process of creating a painting from start to finish, creating a sketch, then applying an underpainting layer, and building values, and finally adding finishing details. Acrylic paint can produce vibrant results, and it’s a versatile medium suited for a variety of subjects. You’re invited to join us for a term of creative fun with acrylic painting!
