Making Shadow Boxes
"I just want to make beautiful things, even if nobody cares." - Saul Bass
Come make worlds using mixed media, collage and paper mache. Shadow boxes traditionally consist of a base, usually a shoe box or cabinet, and then through collage and mixed media, a series of images is placed inside.
Learn background, midground, and foreground techniques to create depth. Subjects of creation for our boxes will run from self-identification to dreamscapes culminating in a group art piece at the end of this term.
