Ann Harris

Picture
Biography

Ann Harris (b. 1985) draws, paints, and is exceptional at creating paper mache sculptures of her favorite cartoon characters. Her paintings are composed of cheerful subjects and bright colors - creating lively landscapes of hearts and flowers. Paper mache sculpture allows her to become more engaged in the art-making process, with multiple steps of construction, layering, and painting of a 3D object. She approaches her sculptures with great focus as she makes sure to cover each nook and fold with paint.

Though small in stature, Harris lights up a room with her infectious laugh and smile. When asked, she says that her art is beautiful and that she would like people to notice the love that she puts into her work.

Her other areas of interest include dancing, cooking and getting ice cream with her friend Tammie. Harris started taking classes at the OSLP Arts & Culture Program in the fall of 2014.
